That can work against BB/FS players in Arenas

Could someone please provide some insight into how to counter BB+FS at close range or the maximum Arena range? I'm one of those players who can recognize a skill issue when it's there. I know when someone outplays me or when someone enters the Arena with a perfect BiS build, an overpowered build, or something specifically designed to counter my build.

I just can't seem to figure out what gameplan I should have when facing BB/FS. Is the only viable strategy to go for a medium armor, full fire resistance bruiser? If so, how is it fair that you either have to build your character completely to counter this combination or just accept defeat?

In close range, you risk being one-shotted by BB, and at medium range, you get melted by FS. If you try to get close to kill FS, they'll swap to BB, activate Last Chance, and obliterate you. This is assuming you can even get close, considering the extremely fair mechanics of Netshot.

If you attempt to counter them by going ranged with a Bow or Musket, not only do their basic attacks hit hard, but they are easier to land, have no reload or draw time, and their abilities like PoF or Fireball are almost impossible to react to due to their instant cast. (And of course, they can quickly close the gap with Burnout, nullifying your only advantage with a single ability click.)

If they opt for the flamethrower and you try to CC them to stop it, they'll simply switch to BB, get a free save from Last Chance, and combine it with Netshot. This leaves you unable to catch them because your movement is severely limited or because you're already dead to BB.

Please don't suggest changing my build to counter them. If I have to completely alter my build and weapon choices just to counter this specific playstyle, it's far from fair or functioning as intended.

PS. Medium armor BB/FS is even more problematic. Their damage is barely affected, but you can't even dream of killing them if they have a bit of intelligence.

I believe many people overlook the fact that the BB/FS player can also have skill and strategy. If you are significantly better than them, you can outplay them, but if you are on a similar skill level or slightly better, this combo can carry them every time.

As a BB player, I'd like to acknowledge that the BB is currently overpowered and needs adjustment. Either the range or damage falloff of Auto Attacks and Shrapnel Blast should be reduced, and the Exhaustive Net Shot duration should probably be 4-6 seconds instead of 8.

Here are a few strategies that can work against BB/FS players in Arenas:

1, Ganging up on them: If all three opponents focus on attacking the BB/FS player simultaneously, it can be challenging for them to sustain and kite effectively.

2, Medium Spear users: These players can chase down BB/FS players and land abilities like Skewer and Perforate. Sweep can also be effective against them.

3, Shirking Heals and Tumbler Feetwraps: Using these items can help sustain your character throughout the fight, but be aware that you may still be vulnerable to burst combos after your stamina is depleted. Keep in mind that Tumbler Feetwraps may have a cooldown in the future, as developers have indicated.
